Aimee Clark - Marriage & Funeral Celebrant

Jake and Jason 2.jpg

In A Nutshell

They say a picture tells a thousand tales. What does my picture say to you?

Yep, I'm different! Not your average celebrant, that's for sure. I'm an alternative to the alternative and a sucker for all things LOVE!

I'd say I'm a pretty awesome wife, but you must confirm that with my equally impressive wife, Alison. We met in 2002 and married in 2014 in Long Beach, California, at a sunset beach wedding with 25 of our closest friends and family, partying through the night until sunrise the next day. I'm a devoted mum to my 30-something daughter Steph. I raised her successfully into adulthood after giving her a trampoline with no safety net, roller skates with no helmet and many camping adventures in the wilderness. I never lost her, not once. Except for that one time at Westfield when she was 2, but that doesn't count; GO ME!

My BFF is my blue English staffy, Skye, and everyone knows she's as equally obsessed with me. I'm also lucky enough to have a fur-dashie grandchild, Lucille, and to be honest, she is probably the only grandchild I'll get, so I'll take it!

I am dedicated to my spirituality and personal growth. I love to practice everything that keeps us present and connected, including meditation and yoga, and I have a passion for the esoteric world of Mediumship and Psychic readings. I read tarot and am currently developing my ability to communicate with loved ones who have passed over.

I believe that weddings and funerals are ultimately about connection and energy, about bringing people together to celebrate love and life. I love meeting all kinds of authentic, unique people and hearing their stories. I believe everyone has a story to tell, and I love that life is full of adventures.

I believe language should always be inclusive, so no matter how you identify, I got you! I live and breathe diversity and embrace difference and alternative lifestyles - Clearly, have you seen my pic? Being a lesbian/gay celebrant doesn't mean I only do queer weddings. It just means that I'm a little more quirky than most celebrants. LOVE is LOVE, no matter who you are.

Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a music fanatic and believe music is the key to all the great things in life. I love all genres and will always be front left at a live gig, big or small; the louder, the better, hence my love for all things BOSE!

There's more to discover, but we need a coffee or a cocktail for those details. So, if you think I might be a good fit for your inner circle on your special day, hit me up and let's chat. I'd love to hear from you!

Cheers

Aimz

Acknowledgment of Country

In keeping with a commitment to reconciliation and respect, I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and seas on which I am privileged to conduct this sacred work. I recognise that Aboriginal, South Sea Islander and Torres Strait Islander people have held rituals of love and sacred indigenous marriage ceremonies for a millennium. I fully support that these sacred rituals will continue to be passed down to future generations through indigenous songlines and stories.

I pay respect to elders past, present, and emerging and to all indigenous persons who are looking to share their day with me.
